What are the best wines? finest wines?!

Question: The Best wines are those you can understand.
Academically, there are some wines considered to de the best: French Premier Grand Cru Classe all are in the top ten - Chateau Margaux, Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Latour, Chateau Rothschild, Chateau Haut-Brion .
As for Americans wines, Opus One (Robert Mondavi) is in the top ten.
But as I say, you must understand these wines else it will seem to you too tannin. These wines need to be open about four-five hours before drinking...
So, if you need to know what wines are the best - I had wrote, if you want to drink it and get pleasure - start with simpler wines.
As for me, I drink wines (almost professionally about 5 years, but these wines are still too complicated to me)

Wal-Mart! Joking, try Biltmore

the one that comes in a box

anything in a box baby! haha

It's the one that taste best to you. But you'll need to drink enough to develop an appreciation for them, otherwise, you'll find them too bitter to like.

If you're a wine snob, then the highest priced French wines are the best.

One of my favorite wines is called "The Laughing Magpie", it's readily available at Costco. The flavor is light, sweet and leaves your mouth asking for more. I am just learning about wines myslef but from what I've read and been told, I think the way to find out what the best wines are is to just try them yourself. Everyone has a different preference.

Anything from napa valley in Ca., is typically very good...I like pinot girogio....also Chianti Classico...that is from the chianti region in italy (must say chianti classico, not just chianti to guarantee it is from the chianti region only), goes great with pasta and red sauce

great Australian wines, there are plenty, too many to name, try them you will almost certainly agree.

The best wines to buy are the best that you like at the price you can afford. Isn't that a boring answer!!!

Don't get sucked in by all the high-fallooting whaffle that some wino's come out with. All you have to do is like it.

We are commercial wine makers in Australia and we make wines from Tropical Fruit and the wines we make are the wines that people like the best. Its a simple formula. Its so simple that you would expect all wine makers to latch on to it, but no. So many wine makers make wine that they like and they then expect everyone else to like it.

We listen to people and watch their reactions when they do a wine tasting and that tells us what we have to do.

So what you have to do is keep drinking!!! Try a sip of any wine you come across in your group at a restaurant (don't try the wines on other tables, it could lead to an eventful night), or a party or wherever and then (if you still can), make a note of the name of the wine and then check out the price.

Drinking wine is a fun thing to do. Its also a great hobby to learn all about the different styles and tastes that genuinely suit some foods more than others. But thats another story.

Ask Santa nicely for a copy of Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book ,wines of every country are described and there is also expert advice on which would most compliment your meal. I personally am very happy to drink French 99% of the time. You just try whatever takes your fancy and enjoy . Cheers!
