LOL... I've wondered the same thing when reading some responses. Especially when the questions are from legal age drinkers and not obnoxious. For example, "How do you make whatever type of drink" and someone tells them to have a glass of water.
In Calgary, today, someone driving a cement truck while intoxicated drove into the back of a stopped car and killed five people including three children. This is why so many people are opposed to drinking. Problem drinkers give everyone a bad name.
Because people don't understand drinking.
It's easy to say, well he's a drunk so put him in jail and forget about him. But like other deseases and ailments maybe we should try to treat it or cure it.
A guy gets drunk and drives and kills someone. Does anyone think he would have done that if he knew the outcome ahead of time. Of course not. But everyone wants to put him in jail for life. Let's say the same guy gets in an accident that kills someone and is completely sober. "Oh it was just an unfortunate accident". How differently we see that. He didn't mean to cause the death in either scenario. In one case jail him for life. In the other case how sad. He didn't want the outcome in either case.
For the same reasons atheists are in the religion and spirituality forum, and meat eaters in the vegetarian and vegan forum: Some people have nothing better to do than prove that they are starved for attention by being somewhere they do not belong and making a spectacle of themselves.
Are they anti-drinkers or responsilble drinkers?
