The drinking age?!
If you are American... did you or do you plan on coming to Canada to drink legally when you are 19 or 20?
Answers: Do the states have the highest drinking age in the world?

well there is a high drinking age... but who really follows it anyway. Kids can get beer from the fridge.
why fly or drive to Canada when there are plenty of adults and stores that sell to minors. Its a corrupt system that does not really work.
and yeah teen drunk driving is what kills most teenagers in this country. If anything the fines for drinking under 21 should be steeper. Its not only them getting killed either.
But yeah in like france you can buy a drink when your old enough to reach across the counter and get it. They dont have our problems with it. Maybe we should do some studies to see what would happen if they lowered the age to atleast 17... i mean if you are old enough to be drafted and fight and die.. you should be old enough to drink and gamble. There was a senator last year who was trying to get this bill started. He wants soldiers to have that right and I agree with him.
its 21, dude our drinking age is high because were the smartest and best country in the world
No, I dont plan on drinking at all. In my country, we dont drink until 21 years of age. Drinking is bad for you, so I'd never put myself in that situation.
idk
idk
how bout alberta, the drinking age is 18.
I had never even thought about it. By the time I was that age, it was easy to get alcohol from older people...
and I already had a fake id...
I did when I was 18 but that was 15 years ago.
No. I've been driniking since I was 16. You just have to know the right people to buy it..
In most places it is 21
1st drink i ever had was beer when i was 16 (48 now) when i got into a dance club.....
I wouldn't plan on it. Most teenagers under the age of 21 just drink illegally at parties. It's what we all did as kids, and is what most people continue to do.
Um, no?
Yes we have the highest because we care about our citizens. Most teenagers can barely drive as it is. So why let them get drunk and then try to drive?
No, i wouldnt go to Canada to drink. I would rather go to Jamaica or the Bahamas. U know, out of the continent. Canada is too close. But Im 21 now so...
i had started drinking when i was 18 and now i still do drink that iam now older and even can drink anytime i want .but i dont live in canada state
In Saudi Arabia you can't drink at all, its against the law. Yes the United States has the highest drinking age, but Oman, the UAE and Pakistan also have a 21 drinking age.
Are you going to drink yourself around the world ? If not why ask what the age is ?
Sometimes you kids get in too much of a hurry to grow up...
Before I turned 21 the first place I legally drank alcohol was in Tijijuana Mexico. I believe you have to be 18 there, but I dont think theyve ever carded anyone, ever. MEXICO
Yeah I think the drinking age in the u.s. is the highest in the world and i think it's whats causing the problems. I dont plan to come to Canada to have a drink thats retarded.
It might be high, but there are a few countries where it's totally banned. So worth the wait, I suppose.
When I was at College in Duluth, MN, we would drive up to Canada to have a night out on the town legally (drinking age was 18). Of course, there were a lot of illegal parties on campus we went to also.
. I had no desire to go to Canada to drink, if I ever wanted alcohol when I was underage there were plenty of ways to get it. (even in a the little bitty town of Blanding UT where I spent my teen years, it is also a dry county) Kids have easy access to alcohol theses days and it is sad. They do not drink responsibly, they drink and drive risking there lives and the lives of others. I have been around alcoholics all my life and they do nothing but ruin the lives of the people around them, and there own! If you drink then you should drink responsibly, never drink and drive, and never give it to minors!
The legal age for drinking in one's home is 5 provided parental consent is given. Children under 5 must not be given alcohol unless under medical supervision in an emergency.
So, if your folks say yeah, then why not.
It's funny you ask this question because most of Canada you only need be 18yrs old to drink BC is one of the exceptions you must be 19yrs old. I have heard parts of Europe it is 23
but not for certain. I do believe the States have the highest age limit being 21yrs old. Crap just think Mexico In think it is like 15yrs old.
