The difference between the O.G. and F.G.?!
can anyone explain how i can calculate the alcohol % by the orginal and the final specific gravity.

O.G. minus F.G. times 105 equals alcohol buy weight, multiply this by 125 to get alcohol by volume.
example 1.060-1.010= .050 x 105 = 5.25% by weight.
.0525 x 125 =6.75 % Alcohol by Volume.
OG - FG * 131 = ABV
ex. OG 1.058, FG 1.005
1.058 - 1.005 = 0.053 * 131 = 6.95% ABV
