"Hair of the Dog that bit you" means have a little of the alcohol that got you drunk. It is supposed to ease the hangover. It does work...but then so does Gatorade and aspirin.

Pretty silly isn't it. The stuff that made you sick is what they want you to take to get better. In reality, the best advice for all you alcoholics is to stay away from it.
My dad was 59 when he died of Alcohol poisoning. I beg of all of you who read this... Moderation in all things, Please...
