Who can tell me about spicing wine- like Greek Retsina?!

Question:

Who can tell me about spicing wine- like Greek Retsina?

I'm discovering Retsina. I've done some research about the history of it. I've learned it most closely resembles the wine that would have been consumed several thousand years ago. I've also learned it would have been spice sometimes to overcome some of it's problems in taste. I've learned Honey would have been used, as well as spices and even seawater at times.
I'm interested in how to go about spicing it to mimic how it would have tasted historically. Can anyone help?

Answers:
Restina is flavored with pine resin. You are right about the ancient flavor of wine thing. Back in the day, when transporting wine on ships, they were put in clay pots. The pots were stopped with a wooden cork that was wrapped pitch soaked cloth. This sealed the jug. The pitch imparted a pine resin taste to the wine.
