Has anyone seen a liquor store in Los Angeles selling Absinthe?!

Question: Now that it's legal, I've seen brands like Kubler and Lucid in bars and available on-line, but I'd like to purchase a bottle from a liquor store for a Christmas present.

Try to find a BevMo. Beverages and More - they have all kinds of liquours.

I think you won't find it in America. It is forbidden in whole Europe to sell and I don't think America is the exeption. You can buy it only in Chech or Russia.
May be laws changed but few years ago it was so

Absinthe that is legal today is not the same as it was in the 19th century. It was made from the Wormwood plant and drinking it affected the central nervous system. The modern day replacement is "Ecstasy" or the "date-rape" drug.

Today's manufacturers of Absinthe do use advertising and labelling that is reminiscent of the old Absinthe which was used (with sugar cubes) to help young ladies lose their virtue.
