Help!! Red wine emergency!?!

Question: Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get red wine out of a white sweater? I soaked it in cold water but haven't done anything else with it yet. Thanks!

ok, don't panic. Flush it well with white wine and club soda, not mixed. Seriously, you need one to take the other out. Then, once you have used both, rinse well in water, with color safe bleach, and if that won't work, repeat, but do not dry before you repeat or you will set the stain. You want an enzyme to eat the stain. If you have done both, and still can't get it out, then try your oxy clean.

Put it in the bath and pour white wine on it! Then leave to soak, go and carry on drinking and and maybe put some more white wine on again later. I did this to a baby blue cashmere sweater one chistmas when I was quite drunk, it worked a treat! No stain to be seen! (waste of alcohol though) Cold water fixes a stain, so get it in warm right away! And stick some detergent in the water too, any kind will do, even hand soap.

I have often heard that white vinegar will take red wine out of carpet and such, so you could try if nothing else works...it cant hurt the fabric...Good Luck!

Don't know if this works because I haven't tried it but this video says that milk gets red wine stains out.
