It's like they don't quite understand the concept of responsibility. I think a lot of them have grown up in an environment that allows them to do whatever they want. They grow up, and they assume it's all the same. A lot of them (not all, but many) are like children in that sense. It's sort of sad, actually.
They think they can get away with it because they're stars. So they do it.

all kinds of people drive drunk.
stars just get more attention.
plus, think about it. its a party kind of lifestyle, so the odds of driving drunki are higher.
then there is the small factor of paparazzi chasing them all the time.
they're evidently ignorant and inconsiderate; they need to have a reality check and hang out at an insurance office & look thru files and see what really happens when people drive drunk. if they're so bored, go on a vacation & don't get into any vehicles.
it's the new fad..... first, there was coming out with your own clothing label, then your own fragarance, then driving drunk, or checking into rehab.
All that $$$ burning a hole in their pockets, and no parents to keep them in line. It's their job to mingle, and most of the mingling is done with the aid of distorting chemicals.

Unfortunately, they have lots of money and can get a good attorney. Unfortunately, a good attorney will find some error that the police made and can probably get them off the hook. It quite sad, but that's our justice system these days.
you hear about them because they are stars you dont hear about the average joe because no one would care plenty of people do it everyday and get caught have you been on a military base lately everytime you leave a base they have a sign up on how dui's this year and what unit they are in
but it still because you know their name because they are famous.
