Has anyone ever drank Dom Perignon? What does it taste like/similar to?!

Question: Dom Perignon is a very-very dry champagne. I do not care for it as when you sip it, it foams up too much in your mouth and well, tastes very dry. A lot of people love Dom, but I don't. I would rather drink a semi sweet such as asti spumante

i thought it would taste like realllly good because it was like $300, but i didnt like it

Vinegar with bobbles.

It's tastes like every other champagne

never drank it

It tastes like good champagne. That's what it is.

To me it taste like icky soda water. (the stuff that is mixed with cola mix to make soft drinks)

no, it is very expensive

yes, it tastes just like chicken

i want to know too!!!! i'm way to cheap to buy before i try :)
even then, i probably wouldn't pay that much!!!

champangne? lol

It's good, sweeter, at least I think, than most commercial champagnes.

Boone's Farm or Thunderbird.

Yes. Very dry Champagne.

BAAAD!!!!!tastes like crap

My husband bought me a bottle on my 40th birthday and to tell you the truth, I was NOT impressed at all. The only thing that impressed me was that my husband loved me enough to spend 350.00 on a bottle of smashed grapes.
I would rather have a good glass of German or CA Riesling.

Never, I wish I did!

I did have pink moet yesterday for my graduation :)

I think Stephen King made it famous because everyone in his books drinks it but really its nothing special.

It's overrated.

Purchased two bottles on a cruise for total of $675, i took one sip and almost spit it out, the next thing i did was open the icebox and grab an ever so trusty Budweiser!

Tried it once, didn't think much of it. Kind of dry if I recall.

If you like Champagne (and I do mean Champagne, NOT sparkling wine/Cava/Prosecco/Asti/etc etc etc) then the chances are you will like it.
If you drink (and enjoy) a lot of good Champagne, and especially vintages, then you will probably love it for its refinement.
If you are not big on Champagne then the chances are you will be wasting your money since you will be expecting something it is not... as many of the people above have demonstrated.
