Which is better for preserving wine?!

Question:

Which is better for preserving wine?

Vacuum wine pump (i.e. VacuVin or Houdini) or inert gas (i.e. Private Preserve). Does anyone know where to buy either of these in the Oklahoma City area?

Answers:
The vacuum pump has always worked well for me.

school always taught me that driking is bad and that the devil takes over your body once you take that first sip.
R U EVIL?

I usually drink it faster than it can go bad.

But if you are storing wine for the long term, I would keep it on it's side so the cork doesn't dry out, keep the bottle at 55F, and don't expose it to light. You should be able to keep wine this way for years to come.

And if the bottle is already open finish it in 2-3 days. Why would you want to keep it longer? Besides good wine needs to breath!

You must see the wine documentary Mondovino.

The vacuum pump works best for me. I like the houdini. You can get one at Bed Bath & Beyond or Kohl's

sorry but the best way for preserving wine (aging) is the cellar
with a 55% humidity and very low light and a temperature of 14 degr. celcius. No magic
