What happens when you chase the green fairy?!

Question: Whats it like? Experience wise.

Answers: Whats it like? Experience wise.

It is a myth. Absinthe has no hallucinogenic effect. I've had it on several occasions... The real stuff. Spent an a.. load of money importing it from Western Europe. Chemical testing done on vintage bottles from the late 1800's also proves that it has no effect. Check out the link below, I know it is wiki, but it is accurate for once.

"Though it was vilified, no evidence shows it to be any more dangerous or psychoactive than ordinary alcohol.[4] A modern absinthe revival began in the 1990s, as countries in the European Union began to reauthorize its manufacture and sale. As of August 2007 over 100 brands in a dozen countries are produced.[5]"

you get lost at sea...

you fall off the edge

most prefer to chase the dragon. JK

if you buy real wormwood products, it can be rather amazing.

But such products are expensive and hard to find.

also, stay away from any very bright green drinks, this is 100% synthetic. and the effects are much like being drunk. it isn't real absinthe (wormwood).

with real stuff, for me, my vision was altered, it was like things would bubble out and in (concave and convex) and everything was moving. AWESOME. didn't last more than 3 hours.

With synthetic stuff, it can affect your ability to control your body- don't use synthetic wormword drinks!!! so bad for you.

google the brand you are considering using or do use, to make sure it is real (check wormwood societies)- then you will know if that's a fairy you found or just a trip on some lab chemicals.

You've had too much Absinthe when you see the green fairy. It's no longer string enough to take you to places unknown so only few of us will ever know.

you are sick

You know, contrary to popular belief, absinthe has relatively low potential for hallucinations, if any at all. (From the wikipedia article mentioned already.) So what will happen if you drink a lot of absinthe, a liquor with an ABV of over 50%, and commonly upwards of 75%, that tastes of anise? You'll get really wasted, possibly act like a jackass, drunk dial those exes that you swore you'd never call again, barf like it's going out of style, and get a killer hangover. Hallucinogenic experiences are most likely due to a combination of intoxication and subject expectancy, just like idiots who say Cuban cigars are the best just because they're embargoed.

Well from experience.... PREGNANT

On my 35th Birthday, while in amsterdam, my wife consumed 1/2 bottle of Absinthe.

She became "SUPER SMART A55"

9 Months 1 Day Later... Our Daughter was born.
