Are there specific ingredients in whiskey, in combination with alcohol, that makes people become mean?!

Question: Well.....sort of. Part of whiskey is a caramelized sugar. This comes from when the oak barrel is charred before storing the distilled liquor (which is a neutral grain spirit, it takesthe charred oak barrel aging process to give it the color and flavor we all know) and some people are known to get sugar highs and withdrawls. However, to get a sugar high, you'd have to drink so much of it that the alcohol would KILL YOU. So, Sort of, but not really. Someone being an asshole drunk has to do with the alcohol.

A Scots disposition!

Dont know the scientific reason, but yes there is truth to this. My Grandfather was fine unless he drank Rye and my EX husband was fine unless he drank Rum. Other forms of alcohol did not make either of them have a nasty disposition.
