Depending on your personality bartending can be a rewarding career. I lived in a town of less than 5,000 and i thought it was fun and i made around 100-150 just in tips every night. you have to like dealing with crap and not be afraid to assert yourself.
I am not sure how much it cost, but if your a people person and can deal with people, than i would say go for it. Get the right job and u could make some money
It is not that hard at all to become a bartender. The hardest part is getting the job. Some states don't require that you go to bartending school and some don't even require the license. It depends on what state you live in for how much the school and license costs.
It is a super fun job. If you live in a small town, it really is like be a local celebrity, EVERYBODY knows you. You get to meet tons of different people and hear lots of interesting stories. You have to be a people person though, and you have to be able to listen, and sometimes you have to stand your ground. Very flexible/versatile jack of all trades type of people do best at bartending.
It is absolutely worth it. In one night I would pull in anywhere from $100-$400 in tips alone.
bartending is great fun i worked as a bar maid for ages its worth it n as for the fees at the school usually if you get a good employer they will pay for it you just have to have fun with it but always be alert go for it you will love it
