What's the best belgian style beer and why?!

Question:

What's the best belgian style beer and why?

Answers:
My favorite is Chimay Triple.

I'm not particularly fond of the ales. They are a acquired taste due to the common sour lactic acid and/or extreme malty sweetness.
Although I do like the Affligem ale and the St. Sixtus examples of Abbey brews.
There are soooo many beers from which to choose and I'm afraid you will hear from a lot of fans of Stella Artois who think that this is the definative Belgian brew...don't buy it!

I prefer Affligem over other belgians. Affligem Blonde is great for when you're having a few. Affligem Tripple is definitely my favorite - it's a big beer in terms of taste, but not dark, which is great if you don't like/aren't in the mood for a dark brew.

Leffe. Thats a nice beer

Stella is a good cheap Belgian beer.

The best Belgian beer, has been elected as the best beer in the world : DELIRIUM TREMENS (tripple fermentation) and 9 deg. so be carefull it is a strong beer. But taste also the 754
other beers brewed in Belgium, and for your knolwledge Belgium′s INTERBREW owns almost the biggest breweries in the world. So enjoy it but with care don′t get drunk...
