To drink or not to drink.... when/if wine goes bad?!

Question: I had a bottle of Hatteras Red Muscadine wine that a friend gave me a few weeks back. When she gave it to me, we opened it, and drank a few glasses, and then closed it. I haven't drank it in about two weeks, and when I went to open the bottle again the cork popped out like a champagne cork. Is this supposed to happen or is there probably bacteria in my wine? To drink.. Or not to drink... ?

Your wine is spoiled!
Recorked wine will only last two to three days in the refrigerator.

When a wine bottle is opened, air enters the void space in the bottle. The oxygen in the air interacts with the wine and causes oxidation, a chemical reaction that will spoil the wine.

Keeping an opened bottle of wine in the fridge slows the oxidation process.

Oxidized wine will not hurt you in any way; it just tastes funny. Oxidized wine is perfect for cooking, so don't pour it out.

toast it,should have drank it all

a simple test : smell it, or take a small sip, if it smells or tastes off, don't drink it. once opened wine only lasts a few days at best, if re-corked.

Use your nose. The nose knows. If you still are not sure, take a sip. If it tastes like vinegar, it is bad for drinking but can still be used for cooking purposes.
Good times!!!

That is normal
Wine do not go bad.
