Man, you don't want a large tolerance, trust me. I used to think my tolerance level was cool when I was 18-19, but as I grow older the only thing that I see is my wallet taking large hits.

For acute tolerance however, try eating a meal rich in protein, like a large steak and some mashed potatoes for carbs.

Make sure to eat a decent amount of heavy or bready food. On an empty stomach, alcohol will go right to your head.

Well it sound cool to me, but if u want to control it try finding a hobby to do, like video games, or outdoor sports

definitely don't drink on an empty stomach. Try to eat a little while you're drinking . That helps fight off a hangover too.

It might be that you are drinking different types of alcohol that will mess with your tolerance. I got into a routine after a couple years where I knew exactly what kind of drink would get me drunk, put me over the edge or keep me happy but not falling over everywhere. It all depends on who's serving you, what you're drinking (shots vs. beers) and how much you're drinking.
But really, just have something in your stomach...carbs like pasta is really good.

What eating a meal rich in both fat and protein does is slow down the absorption of alcohol into the blood stream. It isn't really a matter of increasing tolerance. Alcohol "tolerance" is the same as any other drug tolerance. The brain becomes used to the effects, so that you need more to get the same effect. And the problem remains the same as any other drug. The toxic properties are still there, and you eventually reach a point where the amount required to get the pleasant buzz exceeds the level where the toxic effects kick in.

Just quit drinking. I started young like you and brfor I was 20 I was an alcholic and finally by the time I was 27 I had a three week blackout and have'nt had a drink since. I just turned 50
