If you don't keep your wine in optimal conditions?!

Question:

If you don't keep your wine in optimal conditions?

Like a temperature-controlled cellar.
Where is the best place to store the unopened bottles?
In a regular fridge, a cupboard or somewhere else?

Answers:
"Well, in my wine cellar . . . " Balony!
Nobody I know has a wine cellar anymore and most wines are made to be drunk sooner than 100 years ago.
Many people living in homes or apartments without them will store them deep in an inside closet and away from light and heat.
The bottles should be stored upside down in their cases; this keeps the corks full and wet so they slide out easily.
