How to do flaming shots.?!
Answers: how do you do a flaming shot? i'm a bit phobic of fire so that dosent help. I LOVE Amaretto so i want to try a flamming dr. pepper. so if anyone knows can you tell me? (as far as making, lighting, and doing the shot, is there a technique? can you be internally burned? Thanks.
Ah yes the flaming dr pepper. Take this from a man who spent much of his college career engaging in the study of adult beverage consumption. Follow this guide. First, make sure you are doing this with friends. The FDP is not to be experienced solo. Now you need pint glasses and shot glasses. You need one of each for each participant. Next, you need any kind of beer, preferably an regular American lager and Bacardi 151. NOT REGULAR BACARDI IT MUST BE 151! If you cant find it ask for it. They may have it chained up in back because it is a powerful, ferocious beast of a drink. Last, you need a working lighter. Matches won't do the trick. Ok now fill your pint glasses about half but not more than two thirds full with beer. Fill your shot glasses full with 151. Take your lighter and set your shots aflame. Trust me they will light right up and burn for a minute. Drop your blazing shot into your beer and slam it. It will taste just like Dr Pepper guaranteed. No sipping or you lose the effect and the taste. Last step, Call a cab home you will need it after a few of these. Enjoy.
I had one once when I was in the middle east and you drink it from two straws. I know that the colored liquors (not sure what the mixture is) go in last at the same time and then light immediately (by another person) The whole time you are holding the straws in your mouth and you start drinking as soon as it's lit. As for burning you, I don't think you can be internally burned because the straws will burn before it makes it to you if the fire goes up (which is why they probably use the straws)
Any shot (i.e. a "birthday candle" or "flaming Dr. Pepper") can be made by "floating" a few mL of Bacardi 151 on the top of the shot and then touching a lit match to it. You should blow it out before you drink it, though, and be careful not to burn your lips, as if it's flaming for too long the shot glass will get very hot.

I see the recipe is already there, but wanted to reiterate - make sure the flame is 100% OUT. Flaming shots look cool, but there's definitely a reason why many bars refuse to serve them.
You can get the same taste from a flaming doctor pepper without lighting it on fire. The fire is just for appearance (and also burns away some of the alcohol in the 151.
