Why are there no nutrition labels on liquor labels?!

Question: why don't liquor bottles have labels with calories, fat, sodium etc like soda?

Answers: why don't liquor bottles have labels with calories, fat, sodium etc like soda?

because the alcohol industry paid millions to lobbyists so congress would not pass any law requiring it,same reason you have NO LEGAL RIGHT to know what been added to your tobacco

Mostly they are all empty calories and sugars. Not much to them besides that.

Legally, it's not classed as food.

Even if there was, mostly it would just be calories. There is very little nutritional value in alcohol.

Well, there's no fat, sodium, or vitamins in hard liquor (unless fruit juice is added, as in some flavored vodkas. Even that's insignificant, though). There are calories, but it already seems to be common knowledge that too much booze will make your @ss fat, so why bother putting that on the label?

What nutrition?

"Look, Fred, this Mad Dog 20/20 has 8% of the vitamin C I need for the day"

Because there is no nutrition in mixed drinks, so why label them?

No fat and sodium in Alcohol of course insignificant calories.

Because there is no nutrition in booze.

Oh mi god I don't know but I wish they would, I at least want to know how bad I'm being when I get drunk so when I'm in the gym figuring i went through a kazillion calories and trying to drink 5 gallons of water, jesus, it's enough to drive a woman insane jsut because they are too f-ing lazy to print a few labels...
