Both ways as a cocktail with other liquors, or as a shot. best served chilled if a shot.

A lot of schnapps is used as a mixer. A lot of mixed drinks call for peach or peppermint schnapps.
I think some are too sweet (Peach, Raspberry, Butterscotch) to just take as a shot, but cinnamon or peppermint are pretty good for it.
peach schnapps can be in a fuzzy navel. you mix it with orange juice.
I've always just drank it on the rocks. No mixer. It's a good sipping drink.
I like to add a jigger of peppermint schnapps to my beer.
