is it true that when people are in a beer commerical that people can't drink? they just hold it?

This is true. You cannot drink a beer or any liquor in a commercial. You also cannot smoke a cigarette.

Well, it used to be true. The laws regulating consumption on TV have relaxed a little. For the most part there is a more practical reason that the actors don't actually drink..... Making a commercial can take many "takes" to get everything just right. The actors would be getting "blitzed" by the end of a day of shooting. When you see them consume beer, it usually is just a beer look alike product.

yes. and they can't smoke either. when they smoke in movies it isn't a real cig., it's a fake that looks like a real one.
