Liquor, wine or spirit?!

Question: I like to have a bottle of Tío Pepe sherry in my house. There are large liquor stores in the city that run these huge two-page ads every week, and they categorize their sale-priced bottles by liquors, wines, spirits, imported wines and beers.

I′m at a loss as to which category to look under. It seems they don′t ever put any sherries on sale, anyway, but if I′m looking for a sale price, would I look under Wines, imported wines, spirits, or liquors for Sherry, Port, Medeira, and Brandy?

Tio Pepe would be with imported wines. Count your blessings; the stuff I like isn't even available in my state.

Resign yourself to paying full price. Either that, or follow Oikos' Rule: As soon as you stock up on something, it goes on sale.

those are all wines. As for imported or not I don't know

I think sherry is classified as a liquor.

Spirits for Brandy
Imported Wine for Port (Portugal)
Imported Wines for Medeira (Portugal/ North Africa)
Wine/ Imported Wine for Sherry (Depending where its made)

Also I think your talking about Liqueurs not liquors (Liquors are spirits)
