What the legal drinking age in egland????!

Question:

What the legal drinking age in egland????

Answers:
Simple question -- complicated answer.

If by legal drinking age, you mean when you can go in a bar and buy and drink a whisky, then it is when you are a legal adult, i.e. aged 18.

But people aged 16 and up can legally drink cider and wine in restuarants with a meal if purchased by someone over 18.

Those rules apply in premises licensed to sell alcohol.

But if you are in a private place, such as having a party at home, the the only legal restriction is that children under the age of 5 (five) must not be given alcohol.

So if your children want to be 'like daddy' and have a glass of wine withdinner, then you can pour a few drops of red wine in a glass of water andlet them hav eit withoutbreaking any laws. They don't like it as much as Coke so they're satisfied. when they're teenagers if they want a glass they can and they can learn sensible drinking with their parents and not have the urger to go on a bender to try the forbidden.
