Answers: As in food, dining, and spirits.

Who ever thought of calling beer/alcoholic drinks spirits??

The word spirits generally refers to distilled beverages low in sugars and containing at least 35% alcohol by volume. Absinthe, baijiu, brandy, gin, grappa, rum, tequila, vodka, whisky, and traditional German schnapps are types of spirits.

In the middle ages they would "remove the soul from the body", basically, they were removing the spirits from the wine. This is where the term "spirits" came from.

Because of the way you act and feel when you're liquored up. In the days before chemistry, spirits(ghosts) were blamed for this change.

Because it raises your spirits & gives you an out of body experience.
