Are you a great drinker?!

Question: Why is it that if you can consume a lot of alcohol particularly in Ireland you are held in high regard by your peers. ''I can drink more than you so im better than you'' sort of attitude. As a light drinker this really irritates me as i don't see it as something to be proud of. What do you think?

It is the competive nature of some people, "fratinitous" ha, a new term. I would love to have a low tolerance, you save alot more money, and hell you can spend the saved money on better drinks even. You will be alot less likely to turn into an alcoholic also, so even if they think that they have won the battle, you have won the war my friend.

This is how alcoholics build themselves up.

Been there, done that.

Yeah its a silly thing to be proud of. Also it seems to work better for men than women. If you see a girl falling around drunk we deem that as unacceptable but if you see a guy drunk then we think its funny and will probably get him to drink more!

These statements are usually in jest. My friends and I often joke about "professional drinkers" or "triple-A." We don't hold anything against light-weights, though. In fact, we envy them and their small tabs.

i dont know...i wish i could drink more. not really for the buzz but just to drink more!
