It's a matter of personal taste. I happen to love the taste of Guinness, you might not? Only you can answer this question for yourself. My suggestion to you is to start drinking.

Miller MGD.

corona or XX lager

a cheap cheap cheap beer that tastes good, is keystone. It tastes like Coors Light. And at my liquor store you can get a 24 pack for 14.22. It's actually really good! Otherwise I like Michelob Golden Light, but thats a little more spendy--rounding to about 20 bucks

Guinness

Yuengling Lager is the best beer in America. However, it is mostly only available on the East Coast.

In the Midwest it is Shiner Boch

Other than that Amber Boch or maybe Bass Ale.

Sam Adam's Boston Lager, Lebatt's Blue, Pacifico, Gordon Biersch Pilsner, Sapporo Premium Lager, Paulaner Münchner Hell, Amstel Lager, etc. I'm a lager fan. Except for Sam Adam's and boutique microbrews, most beer in America is junk. Go to Oktoberfest in Munich sometime for a real beer extravaganza.

Great Lakes Brewery's Dortmunder Gold.

JW Dundees Amber Lager.

Spanish Peaks Honey Rasberry.

Newcastle

O'lands export. Its made in Nova Scotia Canada. Real smooth and crisp at the same time. A beer that meets alot of taste buds. Mostly mine.

Chimay, Sam Adams.

I love porters.

I'm partial to Leffe Blonde Belgian Ale. It may not be the top of people's lists of Belgians, but it suits me just fine.

Smithwick's is also a very smooth drinker.

And if you're forced to drink really, really cheap beer -- go with Miller Lite. It actually tastes at least somewhat like beer.

Yuengling

my friend like 211

If ur drinking beer to get drunk or to throw a party with, just get a cheap light beer that almost everyone will drink. (I wouldn't touch the stuff).

Good beers that are easy to find, and not super pricey -- about $7.50/6 pack tops, but worth every penny -- Sam Adams, Newcastle, Guinness, Sierra Nevada. I favor ales and dark beers, if you do then maybe Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale and Harpoon Munich Dark would be good (the latter if your in the northeast). Sam Adams Black Lager is really good, pretty easy to find. I liked their Cream Stout a lot, my friend hated it -- reminds me of coffee and chocolate.
