You're on to something fun and I can dig it!! Margaritas are a standard the world through but let's first straighten out your mix. Your best bet is to head back to the store for some Margarita Mix. Don't get the sour mix. Buy LOTS of mix because you are going to need it. A Marg should stand one part Tequila, half part cointreau and three parts mix. So however much Teq you throw in the bowl, pour half as much Cointreau and three times as much mix. Cut your lime into wedges and add them to the bowl. The zest of the lime skin is acutally very important in bringing together (marrying) the flavors. Also take a lime wedge and moisten the edge of your glass. Run that edge into some rock salt (not table salt) to "rim" the glass. Fill the glass with ice (not the bowl so you don't water down your fun) and ENJOY. If you want to get CRAZY, Tarantula makes a Blue colored marg mix and Razzmatazz is a great addition to your mix. There are a few rasberry liquers but only Razz seems to work well in this drink. Feliz cinco de mayo and please remember... Tequila will move you in strange ways. Best to take it slow!!!

Yes you can. Just have to mix well before serving.. But buy the Margarita machine....It makes a gallon just like restaurants and it only takes about 8 minutes...Its way cool...

sure, but your recipe is going to be way strong. I would use it but just get some sweet and sour mix and Roses Lime juice. ( you can use all fresh limes but it will take a lot and many limes right now are not very juicy) I'd add the sweet and sour and lime juice mixture (about 50/50) to your recipe as 2 parts liquor total to 3 parts mix total. Save the lime for garnish. Cut off both ends then cut it down the middle. Score each half of the lime about half way through then slice it into 1/4 inch slices to hang on the side of the glass.
