What happens when you eat the worm in a bottle of tequila?!

Question:

What happens when you eat the worm in a bottle of tequila?

Answers:
I have never seen a worm in tequila. Only in mezcal. The worm idea was created for the Americans and all other foreigners to obsess over.
Mezcal is a Mexican distilled spirit made from the agave plant, and refers to all agave based liquors that are not tequila. Its fabrication and consumption are closely associated with the Mexican State of Oaxaca.

There are many different types of agaves, and each produces a different mezcal. Tequila is a mezcal made from the blue agave plant in the town of Tequila and the surrounding region of Jalisco.

The Worm does nothing for the buzz.

Nothing! But go ahead anyway and see if you get a placebo effect!

The worm matter left after chewing enters the digestive system, is then broken down even further. The body keeps th nutrients it needs, and the rest goes out the back. lol. You get a bad taste in your mouth, thats it. Check the link below.

Usually you passout and feel like sh*t in the morning.

Nothing, but I wouldn't drink tequila with a worm in the bottle anyway. The presence of an Agave Worm indicates an infested agave crop, and therefore, a low quality tequila.

During the original making of Mezcal, worms were supposedly put into the drink as part of the preparation. The myth is that the worm would eat floating particles of mescaline that was left in the liquid after it was made. Mescaline is a hallucengion similar to peyote. If the myth were to hold true, eating the worm would be like taking peyote. If I had to guess, you would puke because you probably drank the whole bottle of tequila to get to the worm so you are probably already really drunk before you got there.

It will start growing into a tape worm! Then you get really sick!

Kidding, it gets pooped out like anything else you eat. LOL

You generally become unconcious from the amount you drank try to chug the worm!

Nothing. You won't find a worm in the bottom of a bottle of tequila. You're thinking of mezcal, and generally, higher quality mezcal will not have a worm either.
