Question: So my roomate woke up this morning and in the dark was eating cereal in which she poured vodka in her milk and she had a cup of vodka taking sips...should i be concerned for her? She has never done this before.

Answers: So my roomate woke up this morning and in the dark was eating cereal in which she poured vodka in her milk and she had a cup of vodka taking sips...should i be concerned for her? She has never done this before.

How is she acting otherwise? Depressed, drunk, or is she just goofing around with the vodka to see what it'll taste like?

I'd keep an eye on her--I'm a habitual drinker, but it *NEVER* occurred to me to pour anything but milk or sugar on my cereal, and the thought of straight vodka in the morning makes me ill.

Don't be pushy or condescending, but unless it was just a lark on her part, you should keep a lookout for her.

Most people have a bloody mary to ease a hangover, the vodka in the cereal is a new one though.
If your roommates drinking is interfering with her school, work, family or social life, then you should talk to her and try to get her to seek some help in cutting back or quitting.

I would be as worried about her sitting in the dark eating breakfast as I would the drinking in the morning, unless she is drinking every morning.
