Whats the most common or best way to prepare a margarita?!

Question:

Whats the most common or best way to prepare a margarita?

Answers:
Note I don't use exact measurements I free pour but the best margaritas are made with
limeade-make the drink from concentrate
triple sec
gran marnier
tequila
put in a shaker or blender if you like frozen margaritas with ice and place into a glass with salt. I feel that the salt enhances the flavors of all of the ingredients..but if you dont' like it don't use it..happy cinco de mayo..

You..Yell...HEY PARTNER!!!

Use either a pre made mix and just add tequila or use lime juice, triple sec, and tequila.

The most common is probably in a blender, but I prefer mine on the rocks with salt.

A good website for drink recipes is:

http://www.webtender.com/

The margarita recipe from webtender.com is a common/traditional recipe for margaritas. Here is the recipe:

Margarita

Ingredients:

* 1 1/2 oz Tequila
* 1/2 oz Triple sec
* 1 oz Lime juice
* Salt

Mixing instructions:

Rub rim of cocktail glass with lime juice, dip rim in salt. Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into the salt-rimmed glass, and serve.

Webtender.com also has a recipe titled "Margarita #2" in which the amounts for the triple sec and tequila are reversed. Here is that recipe:

Margarita #2
Ingredients:

* 1 1/2 oz Tequila
* 1/2 oz Triple sec
* 1 oz Lemon juice
* Salt

Mixing instructions:

Rub rim of margarita glass with lemon juice, dip rim in salt. Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into the salt-rimmed glass, and serve. (See also Frozen Margarita.)

You can also find a lot of margarita recipes by using a web search engine such as Google.com. Here is one I did:

On a personal note, my favorite margaritas are strawberry margaritas. Here's a Google search for "strawberry margarita recipe":

Sometimes the easiest way to make margaritas (and daiquiris) are to buy a mix from the store. You can buy them in virgin versions, which kids (and those who don't consume alcohol) love.

Enjoy!

1 can frozen limeade (like minutemaid or similar)
2/3 cup (or more) tequila
1/2 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Grand Marnier,or similar)
About 4 cups ice cubes
1 or 2 limes

Put the limeade, tequila and liqueur in the blender; add ice cubes (one or two at a time) through the hole in the lid and keep blending until slushy. If you want salt on the rims of your glasses, cut a slice of lime, rub it around the rim of the glass, and dip the glass rim in coarse salt. I hope you find a good recipe!!

First, you get dressed and then you get into your car, after that drive to your nearest Mexican place. Get a table, sit down and ask your waiter or bartender for a margarita. They will bring it straight to you.

My favorite is made with Cuervo Gold and Lime Margarita mix with a grand Marnier Floater.

strawberryflavor
rocks, sweetened lime juice, nice, mid-range tequila (like Patron Silver) drink...repeat...

2 lime wedges, plus some for rim of the glass
* salt
2 oz Tequila

Rub the rim of a chilled margarita or martini glass with one of the lime wedges. Dip rim of the glass into salt. Place tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec or Cointreau and the ice cubes in a shaker. Shake 20-30 times then strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
