Im invited to dinner with my boss and would like to bring a nice bottle of wine...?!
Answers: What brand of wine do you suggest I bring? They like red wine. (they are attorneys) so something nice. How much would it cost?
Depending on where you live, try Charles Shaw (Two-Buck Chuck) either a Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz
Yellowtail is also very good for under $10
Pinot Noir... from California.
60 a bottle
Crystal~about $1000.00 a bottle, that would impress them. LOL
I just heard about a winery this morning called House. There are supposed to average under $15 dollars a bottle but taste like $50+ bottles. They are an unpretentious winery who focus on taste and not extravagance.
Yeah, OK, any red wine will do.
They are probably more interested in what type of panties you wear.
You have to tell us how much you want to spend, but you can't get anything "gift worthy" for a boss, especially an attorney, for under $20.
At that price, try a Hess Cabernet.
Step up to $35 and I'd go with a Ridge Geyserville Zinfandel or a Belle GlossTelegraph Hill Pinot Noir.
If you want to really make in impression, any Brunello in your budget will surely impress them.
These are all wines you should be able to find, and that they will recognize and appreciate.
Any kind of California red wine from Napa Valley between $20-$30 a bottle is a good choice.
CA Pinot Noir is good. Oregon is awesome. You can get a really good one for $30 or a great one for $50.
What kind of place are you going to? If its a steakhouse look for something bigger like a cab. Hess is good, but I think that there are a lot of really good cabs coming from Washington state. If it looks like more of a fish place look for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (great ones for under $25) or a Alsacian resiling.
