Question:

WHY IS DRINKING milk the best thing 4 a hangover?

does it help grandma says its the cure 4 drinking

Answers:
disgusting, i think i'm going to go throw up now.

DONT KNOW, BUT FOR ME ITS GOT TO BE CHOCOLATE MILK .. IT WORKS...!!!!!!!!!

i always thought toast was. because it soaks up any excess alcohol left in your system. then a couple of ibuprofens, a bottle of lucozade and im back to normal!

tbh i would have thought milk would curdle.but thena again you do get cream liquers.hmm.
good question!

It's actually all the calcium in milk that helps with a hangover or can help prevent one. If you check the ingredients of chaser hangover pills, it's nothing more than calcium citrate.

I don't think it helps, you might suffer diarrhea due to lactose. because milk and alcohol are not compatible, you will throw up. Better try black coffee than milk.

Here is what works for me. I agree Calcium helps but the fat in milk causes upset usually. What works for me is the night you drink try drinking a glass of water between drinks. Most of hangovers are due to dehydration and the water helps. If you want Calcium, try supplements with Calcium or Tums with Calcium. Good drinking.

There is no best thing for curing a hangover, except time. The liver oxidizes alcohol at the rate of about 1 oz. per hour. If you have 10 drinks, the alcohol won't be out of your system for about 10 hours. If you space that drinking over a period of 8 to 10 hours, you will hardly notice the effects of the alcohol.

But if you put that 10 drinks into a period of say 3 or 4 hours, you will get drunk and will probably have a hangover the next morning. Alcohol is a toxin and in excess amounts has a very negative effect on the body. One of those effects is that it dehydrates the body, it also will cause the brain to shrink and pull away from the lining of the skull.

Drinking water will help rehydrate they body and taking something for the pain will help alleviate the headache, but only time will cure the hangover.
