The jades are great, so I have to agree with you. Everyone seems to love duplais (also available from www.absintheonline.com) but I haven't had it yet.
If we're talking about value for price, I think Kubler in the USA. You can buy it legally now, and it was a good absinthe when it was only available from Europe, so now that it's like $50 in a liquor store (or online--http://www.drinkupny.com/category_s/86.h... I'm all over it.
I enjoy Versinthe la Blanche, it's the only absinthe I've found that actually makes me hallucinate slightly. If I look at a pattern on a wall, it seems to move or float a little, etc. Other absinthes I have tried just give me a regular alcohol buzz. I like the taste, but it is pretty expensive to import into the U.S. so not worth it. Ouzo or Pernod taste basically the same and are legally available at the liquor store.
I heard they made absinthe legal in the US again recently but I don't know where to buy it locally.
