Although eating will not help you to sober up while you're drunk, eating while you drink or before you go to sleep after drinking can lessen the intensity of the next day's hangover. That's because when you eat, your stomach holds the food for digestion, closing its contents off from the small intestine. Alcohol is absorbed into the body most quickly from the small intestine, so if the alcohol cannot reach the small intestine, it cannot be absorbed that way. (Though it will still be absorbed through the stomach, it will take longer, thereby allowing the liver to break down the alcohol that's already in the bloodstream.) Giving the alcohol time to be metabolized is what will lessen your hungover feeling.

Yes you should Hot wings or hot fingers would be good also drink one glass of water at least every two drinks and take vitamin b-12 when you go to bed;)

I recommend a nice meal such as pasta and those foods that include eating bread and lots of other carbs.
I also recommend drinking alot of water. Days before this. So that at least you are hydrated before you start drinking, rather than being dehydrated from the beginning.
Just don't overdo the drinking to the point where you're blacking out and someone has to take care of you. Just know that the last shot you had will do you in for the next 30 minutes, take a break, drink a full glass of water then when you know you're cool, go ahead and drink again.
This is my method. I've never gotten sick and the only time I got that spinning drunk feeling was when I wasn't paying attention to what I was drinking.
More then less, have fun!

I eat very little when I'm out drinking, My bar tab is high enough, Without eatting to slow down the effects of alcohol....

yes yes and yes, especially chocolate!!!
