Does Iceland produce any good wines?!

Question: I will be visiting there and wanted to know if they have any good wines or wineries to visit.

They do have a few.

Have a look here - there's a few suggestions.

I have tried the The Laughing Magpie and it's splendid.

Have never known Iceland to produce wine but I looked at the suggest web site and have been take aback. I would try the Malbeck. Most of all I'd look for the distilled stuff.... I think they use quite a bit of rye.

Seems like there are a few. From what I read, they are not usually grape wines however. Here is one that is made from local berries and other fruits

The answer is no.

Iceland produces no wines - if you use the accepted definition of wine as being made from grapes, although one drink made from crowberries and rhubarb is produced.

Another answerer has confused a list of wines available in Iceland with wines made there; Laughing Magpie is an Australian wine.

I wonder why the answerers who so confidently said that 'there are a few' didn't give details of the wineries?
