How often do they check I.D.'s at liquor stores?
I am 19 but am 6'1" and have a beard. People think im like 23.
I dont want a fake ID, but was wondering how often they check or where they check more often and how closley they check it

Don't buy at Wal-marts, they check all the time. Gas stations are hit and miss. If you go to a franchise convenience store you're going to get carded a lot. They have rules to live by, due to law. If there is a local mom-and-pop that doesn't know you, that would be the best place. You look old enough, and they want to make a sale. Liquor stores......well your probably screwed there. They tend to card the first time (per cashier - you catch my drift), and never after wards. I'm 30, and look like I've just graduated high school. Out of curiosity, I've tracked this kind of behavior. Find you a po-dunk gas station, that sells booze, and try there. Make sure that when you drop the beer on the counter you look bored, and have your wallet open ASAP. You come off jaded, like you've been ID'd a million times. Good luck, and good partyin'.
Why don't you just steal one from someone on an airplane?
Most of the time they check if they sense any possibility they could be selling to a minor. They get slapped with a pretty heavy fine, and if it happens to them often enough, they have their liquor license revoked. They don't want to risk that on making a few bucks to sell a minor liquor. Often the liquor control agencies send in decoys to test the owners thoroughness.
That all depends really. If it's a liquor store then you'll most likely be carded as they usually have to card anyone who looks under 35-40. Now if its a random store in the middle of nowhere then you could always get away with it then, find some clerk that doesn't seem to like IDing people and go from there.
i am 25 and i actually look younger cause even when i buy super lotto they ask me for an I.D. and you have to be 18 to be able to buy that, so i must look younger but it all depends how you look that day the clothes some days you might look older , younger or you're age.

Most liquor stores will check your id everytime you walk in if you look younger than 30, or if you appear at all nervous about buying the liquor.
