I want to work in the wine industry and I have a fascination with corks?
I think the job of cork soaking would be something I would like to look into.
Does anyone know what qualifications are necessary in order to be a cork soaker?
I am very confident that cork soaking would be a great career path for me and that I would be very good at soaking corks

You're joking, right?
On the slight chance you're not, you should know that corks are being abandoned by more and more vinters, and in about ten years the experts believe 80% of all wine will come in screwtop or plork (plastic cork) sealed bottles.
So if there WERE such a profession as 'cork soaker' (NOT) then it would be going the way of the card-punch operator.
Just a "soak" I think.
But there are worse things you could do with your time.
