Serious question about teenagers and rum?!

Question: Yo Ho Merry Christmas to Yall!!..^^

HI, I'm a 16yr old teener. Ermm, my mom and dad taught me that drinking was not a good thing since I was born..^^ Believe me, I think the first word they said to me when I was born was, "Now Honey, lets say thank you to the doctors..they helped mom to give birth to you..."
hehehehe, yeah, mom and dad put a bucketload of emphasis on ettiquetes and manners..^^

Anyway, I love baking and I needed some rum to make some rum cake and eggnog. So, dad brought me a bottle of it today. Now, curiosity made me to "taste" a lil bit of it, If you know what I mean...^^ And the strong taste of alcohol really made me kinda sick. Anyway, after two sips, with a screwed face, I gave up, but this warm feeling starts to well up in my throat. Really, warm..........hmm........amazing!! NOw, being a challenging sorta kiddo, I plan to drink a whole shot glass of it. "Hmm....what wud happen? Would I like..pass out?? Would I, get dizzy? hmm....never drank alcohol before.

it's not a good idea. I drank last night and feel like CRAP today, of course, I was drinking 101proof. whiskey, but still.

Your parents trusted you enough to buy the bottle of rum for you, and believe me, if four sips has you dizzy, eggnog will be plenty of alcohol for you.

Don't drink it. Look what it's doing to you. If your dad ever finds out, he won't buy it again. Say bye-bye to your run cake.

It's deceptive and you will come to regret it.

Don't make your father regret trusting you. And don;t make yourself sick. Which is exactly what will happen. Guaranteed. And your folks will know just why you got sick. they were teenagers too. You'll have a hard time earning back that trust. You have plenty of time for that kind of stuff when you are older and your body and brain can handle it better.

The damage you'll do to yourself and your relationship with your parents isn't worth it.

There is a reason other than adults think its fun and they dont want kids to have it lol Alcahol has all sorts of adverse effects on your mind no matter what your age is and its basically toxic to any one. Impairing judgement, making someone emotionally unstable, and screwing with just about every body function you have. On teenagers and children its even worse because the brain is still developing and it will disrupt it. Don't drink it, because I for one think alcohol is a terrible thing that should be against the law, but then im only a citizen so my opinion doesnt matter to the government for the people. How ironic.

first of all you are to young to drink and any one who gives you booze is in the wrong also, don't drink it drinking can be very bad for you,

Because you are not a "drinker", even a few small sips will leave you with a feeling of intoxication. So, passing out, getting dizzy, and doing something to embarrass yourself and your parents are likely possibilities. So, just for now, pass on it. You'll have plenty of time for experimenting once you go to college. :-)

have a few drinks, merry christmas
