Gotta go with 'Me I' on this one. dont let rules control your life.
the chances of you getting in trouble for this are little to none. as long as you dont make a huge racket and you pay for evrything when you leave then the hotel wont care. plus your girlfriend would probably enjoy getting a good buzz going. the only question on your mind should be "is there enough in there?"
personally i would bring my own because it is cheaper and then you can have enough to actually get the two of you decently hammered. the hotel wont even know that you brought it with you. just carry it in in your suitcase or another container and the hotel staff will never be the wiser. Have fun.

If the person to whom the room is registered is under 21, most hotels won't even issue the key to the minibar.

If you BYOB, do it discreetly - the less the hotel personnel see, the better.

I dont know how they deal with the mini bar issue but you can bring your own beer they wont be checking in on you, unless you are partying to loud and cause trouble

Just tell me the city in which you are and I'll help you with the ensure.See if you are in this hotel in Bulgaria it would not be a problem. It is enough you to have 18years, unfortunately in other places it isn't like that,so you gust tell me... Were you are?

Do you ever not let rules control your life?

Yes, you can definitely get in trouble. In fact, it's a little surprising that they would allow you to check in, given that there is alcohol in the room. Prior to turning 21, I had an experience where I had made hotel reservations over the Internet and there was no mention of under-21 reservations in their system. When I arrived to check in, they refused to allow me to stay there, which left me in a very bad spot. All the other hotels in the area were full or insanely expensive, which meant that I had to drive an hour and a half to get away from the city and stay at a cheap motel. Other places are a little nicer and they'll just remove the alcohol from your mini-bar (or give you a non-alcohol room, as they have at some hotels).

Based on my experience, I would highly recommend making sure that you'll be able to check in before you go. I would definitely stay away from the mini-bar, too. Even if you got away with it, you'd be paying a ridiculous amount of money for a pretty small quantity of alcohol.

While I definitely don't recommend it, bringing your own seems like the scenario that's least likely to get you in trouble. Just because it's behind closed doors doesn't mean it's legal, though, so my official stance is that you should just enjoy one another's company. If two under-21-year-olds can't figure out how to entertain themselves during a night alone in a hotel room, there really is no hope for you. ;)

I agree with Stefanie on this one - find other ways of entertaining yourselves for the evening! Music, candles, dimmed lights, spa bath - something romantic, and no headache in the morning, from alcohol!
