Hello,
I know that the current minimum drinking age is 18 for spirits and 16 for beer/wine.
You can buy/drink beer in a pub at 16.
In a supermarket they will ask for your IDcard if you look young for your age.

thumberlina's right, to buy beer you have to be 16 and 18 or over to buy the stronger alcohol.i also live in Germany!
