What are some of the alcohol drinks that are banned here in the USA but legal elsewhere?!

Question: just wondering..

Answers: just wondering..

ABSINTHE ISN'T BANNED IN THE US!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I had to yell.

As someone said it varies from state to state. For example I believe it is Mississippi that bans beers higher than 4.4% alcohol. Many states ban liquors over 40% or 80 proof. Some don't however. The over 80 proof would be your Everclear and Moonshine.

Liquor controll laws are handed at the state level and aren't regulated by the federal government.

Only one that comes to mind is absinthe.

Well, it really varies state to state. Thats a better place to start. Everclear is outlawed in many states, and I dont remember the status on absynth but I'm sure thats still illegal in many states.

i think it have to do with the high % of alcohol by volume because there are some beers in the us that can only be sold in the keg and not in the bottle for that reason or it may have to be with the was it is processed or store if it doesn't reach the strick codes of food and drug assosiation it cannot be sold in the us untill they meet these codes

just out of interest, what drinks are banned in the USA? I'm in Australia

absynthe cuz apparently it has some kind of toxic herbs that can make you have reactions similar to if you took mushrooms You can get it in Canada or over the internet....also moonshine/hooche cuz of the high alcohol percent (it's made by people from their home...i've had it and you get f*cked up).
