Why should the drinking age remain the same?!

Question:

Why should the drinking age remain the same?

Answers:
Simply because children under the age of 21 are just not responsible enough to be drinking alcohol. As a matter of fact, I am not even sure if most 21 year olds are responsible enough to be getting inebriated. If anything, they should raise the drinking age.

yes, its 21 here..........they still drink sooner, but maybe it will help deter some and save some lives.

drinking age here is 21 but i think it should be 18 cuz if you are old enough to get drafted and or die for your government/country you should be allowed to kick back and drink a beer anywhere you damn well please in that country

fine but 40 % teenagers start at a tender age before they are even 20.

if you can die in a war you feel is wrong you should be able to drink anywhere you want. i feel drinnking and smoking and voting age should be 18 and driver license should be 15. 98% off all 15 year olds have had a beer. so let it start at 18 and you will see the major problem get better. thats my opnion.

here is 18 to drink or gamble even

I think the drinking age should be 18 If your old enough to fight for your country. I think your old enough to drink.

it will remain the same because each state recieves a higher portion of tax money for keeping the drinking age at 21, if they were to raise it they would get even more money, but the obvious social consequences that would start keep it at 21, if they were to go lower they wouldn't recieve enough money to help offset the cost of road construction, and general city work.

so think of the drinking age as one less tax you have to pay.

It should be lowered. Of course you'll do some stupid things but at least you'l have got that out of your system by the time you're 20.
