What is the Dr. pepper and Mr pieb?!

Question:

What is the Dr. pepper and Mr pieb?

Answers:
Dr. Pepper is made by Pepsi and Mr. Pibb is made by Coca-Cola. Similar in taste like Sprite and 7-up are similar, but not exact.

Dr Pepper is great soda, Mr Pibb is a knockoff of Dr Pepper.

They are both carbonated soft drinks. Very sweet.

I was told it's prune juice:)

Dr. Pepper is a soft drink that was created in Texas in the late 19th century. It is a dark cola with a unique taste reminiscent of caramel.

Contrary to what "serenity" said I do not think it is owned by either Pepsi or Coca-Cola, however, the soft drink is distributed by both Pepsi and Coke in many parts of the US.

It also doesn't appear to be popular outside the US, I couldn't find any when I was in Europe last month.

Mr Pibb is a "knock-off" brand by Coca-Cola to mimic the taste.

Since this was filed under the "Beer, Wine, & Spirits" category you may have heard of a "Flaming Dr Pepper", which is a shot of 151 Bacardi lit on fire and dropped into 5 ounces of Beer then quickly swallowed. It actually does taste like Dr. Pepper.

Dr. Pepper (which is my all time favorite soda) is not owned by Pepsi or Coke.

It may be distributed by them, but not owned. last time I checked both 7up and Dr. Pepper were a SINGLE bottling company with no relation to the "big two".

I also remember reading that Dr. Pepper is owned by the Cadbury company, but I am not positive on that one (it was wikipedia)

Dr. Pepper is a super sweet soda, that does include a slight amount of Prune Juice.

Mr. Pibb is very similar to Dr. Pepper (I personally don't think it is as good) and it is owned and distributed by the Coca-Cola company.

dr pepper is distributed by seven up bottling co.
mr pibb is cocacola's best answer to the most caffinated soft drink. Dr pepper has as much caffine as three regular coffees.
