What is something fun to do for New Years not involving alcohol?!
Answers: My husband and I go to Trader Joe's every new years eve and get a bunch of food and then come home. This year we are also camping out on our living room floor in front of the fireplace in a sleeping bag and making waffles in the morning. It's something fun and different...plus it keeps us off of the streets and away from all of the drunk people. Have fun!!

Invite friends over for board games or karaoke. Make fun non alcoholic drinks in the blender. Or you can do an internet search for family new years event they are usually alcohol free. Happy New Year~!

Just get together with some friends and play games. There is a new game called Apples to Apples that is a hoot!

It really depends on what you like. Are you planing a party or a small get together? If it's a small get together you could play games, eat good food, and have music. If it is just yourself (like me, I have a little one who goes to bed at 7:30 and no sitter :( ) do something that you really enjoy. I am planing on either reading, watching a movie, computer, or video games. YAY!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
First, depending on where you live there may be many alcohol free New Year's Eve Parties. Look in the paper, contact any agencies that sponser drug and alcohol free events in the past. Also you can have your own alcohol free party. Play games, visit, have food and sparkling cider. Although there are usually bars attached to bowling alleys you can still go bowl. Many alleys usually have a fun events on New Years eve. Does your town/city have a rollar rink, skate park, ice skating rink? There is alot that can be done that is fun and does not involve alcohol on New Years. The ultimate choice is what do you enjoy.
Most all of my gatherings do not envolve alcohol. Instead I Buy several bottles of sparkling cider or you can google some great non alcoholic punch recipes. If your family and friends like to play games..you can buy some fun prizes (they needn't be expensive..go to the dollar store) and wrap them up. The game winners choose a prize. Play your favorite cd's and dance..or if you have dance revolution, rockband, or guitar hero..get those out too. Serve lots of horderves: chips and dips, crackers and cheese, maybe some hotwings, linguicia sliced into circles and served with toothpicks...etc. whatever you want ( these are just some of my favorites to serve). Pajama party with best friends! Can serve virgin versions of popular frozen drinks. Karaoke, games and movies. Or go watch the fireworks(if your town is having them) and drink hot cocoa!
