How long does it take to get an ale fermenting after ritching the yeast?!

Question: I am a first time brewer and I made my first batch today. I am wondering how long it takes to start noticing that the wort is fermenting in an ale? When will I start to see activity in the air lock?

Generally, fermentation activity will be noticeable within 24 hours, but it could take up to 72.

A lot depends on the temperature. If you don't see any activity in the airlock, check the seal. or look for foam on top of the wort. If there is no other reason for lack of activity, move the fermenter to a slightly warmer place.
