Info about bar and drinking please?!

Question:

Info about bar and drinking please?

I'm writing a story with a bar scene and I've never been in one. Can you get a pina colada in a small town bar? What would it taste like to someone who's never had alcohol? What do you call the glass that it would come in? Could a teenage girl drink a whole pina colada without getting drunk?

I really am writing a story, so don't think I'm going to try this, and please don't write me and tell me that I need to do it myself to know. I'm asking so I don't have to. Thank you!

Yes, you can get a pina colada or daquiri in pretty much any bar with a blender. Pina colada's are tropical, pinapple, cocunut flavored. The glass is usually called a "hurricane". I guess it depends on the girl if she gets drunk or not, there is a shot of rum in it...

In the UK i would say that you could get a pina colada in cocktail bars and some clubs, you would not get 1 in your local pub. I would imagine that someone who had never tried alcohol would get a warm fuzzy feeling from a pina colada but not be paraletic drunk. As for the glass id simply call it a cocktail glass.

In Toronto most bars don't serve pina coladas or any frozen drinks. If you go to an upscale bar or restaurant you can get them, but not the smaller bars.

Pina Coladas taste like coconuts and cream.

They can be served in any type of glass really. I don't think there really is a "pina colada glass" . I got one once in a margarita glass (it's shaped like an upsidedown triangle, with a large brim).

When I was a teenager, I drank a whole pina colada and didn't get drunk. They don't really have that much alcohol in them. However, everyone's different. It's very possible for a teenage girl to at least get a buzz off one.
