What types of crackers go well with wine and cheese?!

Question:

What types of crackers go well with wine and cheese?

Should I just stick with plain crackers or are there any specific brands, flavors that go well for a wine and cheese tasting?

Answers:
The cracker, or "wafer" should be very thin and almost tasteless. You want to compliment the wine and cheese. The cracker should really be just a "carrier" for the cheese. Water wafers are generally used for the best wine and cheese tastings... don't forget some pear or other bland fruit to cleanse your pallette. If you use Ritz, you might as well get some velveeta and wash it down with inglenook. I'm no expert and not saying you have to spend $50.00 on wine and cheese, you can enjoy a nice wine, cheese, spread for half that.

Ritz goes well with anything, or you could try Club.

SALTINES

Stick with plain crackers so as to not distract from the flavor of the cheese and the taste of the wine.

Anything you like is fine but I LOVE club crackers! They have a bit of a butter taste that's awesome.
