This is not necessarily true of wine, however.
being the wine expert i am, i know that you can keep liquor as long as you want-if unopened. the thing is that the longer you keep it the more valuable and more flavorable. It creates a distinctive musky taste that is completely TO DIE FOR. so be smart and lave your alchohol alone!
Most will last forever, however come "cream" alcohol have shelf lives, Bailey for example has a best by date on it.
liquor will last FOREVER unopened. unless it's baileys or creamy liquor...even opened liquor lasts a realy long time
