She's still mad at me. What should I do?!

Question:

She's still mad at me. What should I do?

Okay. Sometimes I have trouble sleeping and I've found that a swig of Bailey's puts me to sleep within twenty minutes. It doesn't get me drunk or even give me the slightest buzz or anything. I always feel like **** in the morning when I drink the night before, no matter how little I drink. My girlfriend thinks that since I have a slight hangover that I must have been drunk off my bum the night before. Although I explained it all to her, she's stillmad at me for drinking. I can understand that. but does one have a right to be mad at someone else for doing something that they do too. She drinks and then gets mad at me for having a swig that makes me sleep. Does she have a right to get mad at me for this? Why or why not? I really need some help.

Answers:
If she drinks, she can't get mad at you for taking a swig to fall asleep. As long as you take care of your responsibilities, there shouldn't be a problem. You're not drinking a bottle then falling alseep, 2 totally different things!

I don't think she has a right to, but that doesn't really matter. Try finding something else that helps you sleep.

go to the doctor and have them prescribe something to help you sleep, that way you feel better in the morning and your gf will get off your back!

you could try sleeping pills......but really it is her opoin on the situation

I think that everyone has a right to their anger, it depends on if you to are discussing it or fighting about it. When you discuss it the next time, try to see her point of view and really listen to what she's trying to tell you. If you need help sleeping, there are a lot of prescription sleep aids that won't cause that "hang over" feeling in the morning. You may feel that way because you're dehydrated or because there is a ton of sugar in alcohol. Hope this helps.

I think your girlfriend is being unreasonable about your drinking if she drinks too but only if you are drinking socially. You should not be self medicating with alcohol, which is what you are doing.

Please contact your doctor and see if he can help you with your sleep problems. Also, find out why if you take a swig of Bailey's you have a hangover. If it is only a "swig" you shouldn't feel like crap in the morning. If it is stopping you from working or doing anything the next day then this is a problem.

I don't think she should be mad at you, she should be concerned though. Maybe this is how she shows it.

She sounds like a female dog....

one drink doesn't make you drunk or gets you hungover...

nyquill....thats all you need

Hell no she doesn't have a right to be mad, she should probably take a swig and get over it. Also, who says the ingredients in sleeping pills are any better that a little swig of Bailey's? People are so used to saying "oh just take a pill for it" yeah and people get addicted to pills just as easy as anything else. Oh yeah, why are you getting a hangover if it's just one swig??
